[..YouTube..] Thanks for this, looks like a cool phone.. I’m gonna go check it out in person next week when its in stores.
November 30th, 2007 at 1:19 am
[..YouTube..] thanks you soooooo much I was interested in this phone, but I could not find video info on it anywhere. thanks a bunch, you rock!
November 30th, 2007 at 3:18 am
[..YouTube..] What would someone recommend?Im thinking about either getting THIS phone, or the samsung i760. Which is better for a teen?
November 30th, 2007 at 4:25 am
[..YouTube..] I am also debating over the i760 or this phone. my biggest question is that this one says it can have an 8gb micro sd card. i was wondering if, with this installed, it could act as a music player and hold like 2000 songs. anyone know if this would work without it slowing down a ton and without it being a pain to search through songs and artists? the i760 already has a music player but it doesnt say how big the sd slot is, but then the 760 camera isnt as good. dunno which phone is better yet????
November 30th, 2007 at 4:29 am
[..YouTube..] if anyone can PM me with any suggestions that would be very helpful
November 30th, 2007 at 5:32 am
[..YouTube..] I would say try both and see which one works best for you when its in stores next week. The reps will probably let you play with both live models to see what you getting.
November 30th, 2007 at 7:07 am
[..YouTube..] would this be a good phone for a 12 year old..he really likes the tmobile wing but we use verizon, thanks!
November 30th, 2007 at 7:07 am
[..YouTube..] or would the i760 be better for him?
November 30th, 2007 at 10:30 am
[..YouTube..] i ordered this phonedo u know if they have diff colors?
November 30th, 2007 at 4:41 pm
[..YouTube..] So far the only color is blue which looks a lot better in person that in picture.
November 30th, 2007 at 4:42 pm
[..YouTube..] Its going to be faster than the Wing so I would say yes since he really likes the Wing.
November 30th, 2007 at 7:42 pm
thanks for the review. I am curious if the new Google Maps works on this phone, either with the GPS or the cell tower localizer. I am also interested in whether Skype Mobile works with the Wifi. Lastly, have you tried a browser other than IE, such as Opera that can view full pages?
Thanks for any info, I am looking to get this phone perhaps next week.
December 1st, 2007 at 2:42 am
[..YouTube..] Hey Bookworm,Nice review, had a quick question. Does this phone allow you to store mp3 songs on it from your personal cd’s or downloaded from a website and then set them as your ringtone for different callers?thanks!
December 1st, 2007 at 5:33 pm
Hello
I actually installed Google Maps and it worked fine but the GPS and the cell tower localizer didn’t work. I also downloaded Live Maps (which I prefers since it has more features and feels a bit more cleaner but google map refresh is a bit faster. I did try Opera but not for long as it seems the program is a memory eater.
December 1st, 2007 at 11:00 pm
[..YouTube..] Yes all you will need to do is add the mp3s to the My Ringtones folder in Windows Mobile 6.

Opera is a great browser for mobile phones, better refresh rate than ie mobile which is shit in my view. But you are right it is a memory eater, just like its PC browser counter part
December 3rd, 2007 at 1:47 pm
[..YouTube..] is it possible for you to make a video on how to make the mp3’s ringtones? i just got my phone today and im not really used to it ha
December 4th, 2007 at 5:44 am
[..YouTube..] I’ll see what I can do to show you guys. I will probably have to be separate from the full review which I am posting soon but it will be under another usersname.bwonedotcom I will make an announcement about it.
December 4th, 2007 at 5:51 am
[..YouTube..] Hello All!!I will be posting the full review under this username bwonedotcom. (not posted yet) I will post it here as a video response as well. But the full review will be up soon and it will be under \bwonedotcom for the username

[..YouTube..] yeah thanks i also need some help syncing it to my computer
December 4th, 2007 at 12:10 pm
[..YouTube..] 619 without contract499 with 2 yr contractand i believe the unlimited data will cost u an extra 40 or 50
December 4th, 2007 at 5:38 pm
It has been a few days. How is the phone doing. Tomorrow they are supposed to be in the stores and I plan to pick one up. Do you still like it? Are there any concerns or issues? Thanks.
December 4th, 2007 at 9:47 pm
[..YouTube..] what is unlimited data? there are not many videos out yet on this phone so im not sure what all is good or bad on this phone.
December 5th, 2007 at 2:43 am
[..YouTube..] I had the xv6700 and the phone was fantastic, but I had some battery issues, it would only stay charged for about 18 hours with nothing running in the background and with wifi and blue tooth off. I had the unit replaced and purchased a new battery for it. The new battery and replacement phone worked wonderfully for about a week and a half, after that, it went back to doing what the other phone did.
December 5th, 2007 at 2:44 am
[..YouTube..] Sorry for two comments, the first one was exceeding the limit so I had to break it into two parts. I was just wondering if you’ve experienced any power / battery issues with the 6800, I really want to consider getting it, I’m just concerned about not having any longevity in the battery life. It’s just not practical having a device that’ll only stay charged for a few hours
December 5th, 2007 at 6:31 am
Yes I still like and i’m gong to keep it. I’m working through the review right now. Its my first full one so its taking me awhile to go over what features to point out without making it too long. I will hopefully get this up by this evening.
December 5th, 2007 at 8:41 am
[..YouTube..] unlimited data = kinda like unlimited minutes ..but for the internet (dont know if that helps?)
December 5th, 2007 at 9:03 pm
[..YouTube..] Hello I have posted my final review above. The user name is bwonedotcom Thanks.
December 6th, 2007 at 2:03 am
[..YouTube..] what is threaded text msging?
December 6th, 2007 at 3:06 am
[..YouTube..] Its having your text messages be put together like a conversation and it will look like AIM or iChat. where all the message roll through like its one big chat.
December 6th, 2007 at 8:22 am
[..YouTube..] what kind of file does it have for video so I can download shows and stuff?
December 6th, 2007 at 9:29 am
[..YouTube..] iphone is better
December 6th, 2007 at 1:10 pm
[..YouTube..] it probably is i wanna use an iphone just to see how it functions its probably pretty badass huh i still wouldn’t trade my mogul in for it though
December 6th, 2007 at 8:54 pm
[..YouTube..] What do you think about Verizon’s Samsung i760. Its hard to decide between the two.
December 6th, 2007 at 9:04 pm
[..YouTube..] Well iPhone isn’t a smartphone in the sense so I wouldn’t compare it to this.
December 6th, 2007 at 9:04 pm
[..YouTube..] It can play mpeg and wmv from what I can see.
December 6th, 2007 at 9:17 pm
[..YouTube..] I think the i760 is also a very good phone as well. I believe its a bit slower in processor speed and memory than the XV6800. What I like better about this the cleaner look too it. It’s cool that the i760 has number pad in the front but the send and end keys are just in too weird of a spot for me. Plus I like the keyboard on the XV6800 better and its EV-DO Rev A. upgradeable while the i760 is not. You can’t go wrong with either phone though but I would give it to the XV6800.
December 7th, 2007 at 3:29 am
[..YouTube..] How well does the touch screen work with using a finger to press the numbers to make a call, rather than using the stylus? It would seem rather annoying to have to pull out the stylus to type phone numbers whenever you want to make a call.
December 7th, 2007 at 3:56 am
[..YouTube..] Oh it works fine for your fingers. The reason I used the stylus in the reviews is because my hands are big and it would probably block the view. using your figures works fine and its what I usually use on the phone most of the time.
December 7th, 2007 at 4:47 am
[..YouTube..] I noticed that you said the boot time depended on how many programs you were running…. If you’re booting cold… there are no processes or programs running….
December 7th, 2007 at 5:38 am
[..YouTube..] You can still have startup programs such (magic button.) or some today plug-in that you can have autostart if you reboot your phone. The loading is behind the Windows Mobile screen. I’ve noticed when I had quite a few programs autostart the boot time slowed down vs the standard screen which has a quicker boot to it. Its similar to when you cold start your computer if you have a lot of items open at startup it slows the boot time vs having very few items load up.
December 8th, 2007 at 7:06 pm
[..YouTube..] Couldn’t protect a Biscuit but I bet it could protect a Baggett….
December 8th, 2007 at 7:12 pm
[..YouTube..] Great review, looks like a tight phone. really like how it slides instead of flips I.E. the voyager.
December 9th, 2007 at 12:34 am
[..YouTube..] I just ordered this phone, is there a good place to find available plug-ins and upgrades?
December 9th, 2007 at 9:12 am
[..YouTube..] wat is better samsung i760 or xv6800?
December 9th, 2007 at 2:24 pm
[..YouTube..] can you view YoutTube Videos on this device? and if you can, do you have to download a software to do so?
December 10th, 2007 at 8:16 am
I really wanted this phone the vz6800 but once it was announced the $399 price tag was a shock, also the phone comes from Verizon with a 920mah battery. Sprint has the Mogule which is basically the same phone but comes with a 1500mah battery and cost $300 with a 2yr contract. Sprint is really the better deal. I think that I will hold off on renewing my contract with Verizon. Hope this information is helpful to someone out there.
December 10th, 2007 at 8:55 am
Hi Richard. If you look in my review I state that the battery is a 1500mAh battery. What verizon has listed is by mistake. The batter does come with 1500. Also there are people out there getting this phone for under $300 with discounts.
December 10th, 2007 at 9:31 am
[..YouTube..] just bought this phone 2day its freaking awesome…once you get used to the phone and customize it , its awesome
December 11th, 2007 at 12:07 am
[..YouTube..] Anybody know about the GPS capabilities? I have been told that it has E911, but will I need to add a bluetooth gps receiver in order to run a GPS app on this or will the app work on the standalone 6800. Great job on the review!
December 11th, 2007 at 12:14 am
[..YouTube..] You will need to DL software to get Youtube to work on it. Search Google for the link to it. I seem to have lost it.
December 11th, 2007 at 12:15 am
[..YouTube..] Best thing to do is a google search for free Windows Mobile software. There are a ton of sites out there with software available.
December 11th, 2007 at 12:16 am
[..YouTube..] From what it sounds like its got GPS built in but needs to be unlocked for its full capability.Check out my full review by click the responses below the video.
December 11th, 2007 at 12:17 am
[..YouTube..] All based on opinion. I would try both with the 30 day return policy verizon offers and then choose.
December 11th, 2007 at 12:27 am
[..YouTube..] I actually seen your review on the detroit free press web site. I can’t seem to find anyone who can answer my questions. I think this is actually the HTC Tytn with a few minor changes. Anyway, Verizon keeps the specs pretty close to the vest and theres no telling if they will ever make VZnav avasilable. They recently did on the BB8830 but I am going to pick this up today. Just need to decide if I by a seperate GPS or a bluetooth unit and app for the phone.
December 11th, 2007 at 7:31 am
[..YouTube..] bookworm is there anyway that i can extend the time from my screen going off…? cant find it =\
December 16th, 2007 at 12:52 pm
I really wish that the phone makers would understand what an IR port is for - REMOTE CONTROL. It should therefore have 20 ft range when used for that purpose (with any of several packages), and should be located on top of the device. The bottom is better than either side, but people using the Sprint incarnation can’t get anything reliable over 6 ft.
December 20th, 2007 at 10:57 am
[..YouTube..] is this better than the voyager? which of these 3 would u recommend :this phone voyager by lg or the iphone? can u do a review
December 22nd, 2007 at 11:25 am
[..YouTube..] Nice review. I’m curious if the wi-fi can be used separately from Verizon’s data plans. $45 a month unlimited data seems crazy, but this would be cool if using the wi-fi connection to surf the web etc.. Can wi-fi be used w/o incurring minute or data usage? Thanks
December 25th, 2007 at 2:54 am
[..YouTube..] Id also like to know if the phone can be used wi fi without incurring any data usage. does anyone know if this is possible?
December 25th, 2007 at 4:58 am
[..YouTube..] You can use the wi-fi without incurring data charges buty wi-fi is a huge battery drain. Verizon has plans that have voice+data combined which I think makes data $40 on each plan then they have ones that include unlimited messaging
December 28th, 2007 at 10:16 pm
Is there regular texting or is there just e-mail?

how do i download music to my xv6800 and what software can i use to do it
January 22nd, 2008 at 10:55 pm
It’s convenient to load a micro-SD card on a PC, then plug it into the XV6800 (or any other phone it fits). The XV6800 takes up to 4GB cards (non-SDHC, I believe, is required). You can get an SD -> Micro-SD adapter, and a USB -> SD adapter (or several printers and/or monitors take ‘em too). When used in this way, they appear as drives on the PC, and you can copy files to it using drag/drop, command lines, or whatever.
January 24th, 2008 at 7:29 pm
thank you for that info
March 13th, 2008 at 1:31 pm
I’m new to the pda/smartphones so I was wonder ing if you could make a video showing how to put mp3s on the xv6800. Thanks

Hello
I’m hoping to get that video up soon. Sorry for the late reply but hopefully I can get that up soon.
April 22nd, 2008 at 7:16 pm
have they come out with an update so the texts aren’t threaded?
and does the i760 have threaded texts too?
October 5th, 2008 at 2:40 pm

October 18th, 2008 at 6:35 pm
