[..YouTube..] that’s awesome, do you know if I’ll be able to upgrade to an LCD screen in the future?
December 14th, 2007 at 10:40 am
[..YouTube..] I believe after the holiday season they will offer higher res screens. But honestly the standard screen is more than enough. You will probably like it alot.

[..YouTube..] Hi, very helpful video to a noob such as myself. Question tho, neither of these upgrades will affect the warranty right?
December 15th, 2007 at 1:23 am
[..YouTube..] This video was really helpful as well as the first impression video and I learned a lot. Thank you. I can’t wait for your final review.

[..YouTube..] No your warranty will stay the same. As memory and HD upgrades are common.

[..YouTube..] the largest for sata that I have seen is 250GB made by Western Digital. It the second highest rated laptop on Tom’s Hardware besides the Seagate 160 7200rpm.

December 16th, 2007 at 2:41 am
[..YouTube..] i don’t think it’s possible to upgrade video cards in laptops, but i’m not sure. also, i was wondering if you could upgrade the processor too. very nice video and very helpful. thank you for your work=)

December 30th, 2007 at 5:30 am
[..YouTube..] im just curious, would such an upgrading void the warranty?
December 30th, 2007 at 10:26 am
[..YouTube..] i didn’t know dell xps m1530 even allowed upgrades to 500gb.
January 1st, 2008 at 1:24 am
[..YouTube..] Yes.
January 2nd, 2008 at 2:52 am
[..YouTube..] No upgrading your own hard drive and memory will not void the warranty on the unit. Theses are very common upgrades that dell understand that people do whether its through them or not.
January 3rd, 2008 at 1:23 pm
[..YouTube..] is the graphics card also upgradable?
January 4th, 2008 at 9:40 am
[..YouTube..] Nope its not. However you can get up to an 8600M GT in which should be more than enough for most games.
January 8th, 2008 at 5:40 am
[..YouTube..] it is possible to remove or change the fan?Maybe to something quieter or something with led’s?
January 12th, 2008 at 5:13 am
[..YouTube..] The processor should be upgradable… during the RAM upgrades you should see the heat sink on the right, just have to remove the heat sink and replace the processor right below it.Thanks for the Great walkthrough bowman, I’ll be getting my m1530 within a week or so (already ordered it so now I’m waiting for it to arrive)
