Facetime on iPad 2

We took some time to test out Facetime on the iPad 2 and had a chat with Dan Lourenco who wrote our iPad 2 review which is posted up now.

FaceTime works pretty simple on the iPad 2. You just need to have a register e-mail account for FaceTime and have the other persons e-mail address that is also register and you are set to go.

Connection over wi-fi is solid with very few blips. Audio sounds good and picture quality looks on par with most tablets we have seen.  You can use both the front or rear facing cameras during the chat but if you leave the window the video will freeze on the other end and only audio will play. Hopefully we can get some multitasking with this or a small widget with the video still up playing. Solid work from Apple here.
