The Samsung Galaxy S III comes with one of the best 8 megapixel cameras available in a smartphone. It’s good enough to replace your bulky point and shoot camera but you first need to know how really use it to get the best out of it. While you can just leave the settings a default and get a good picture but if you learn the different settings and techniques you will really get the best picture you can from the Galaxy S III camera.   1. Focus your shot! You can tap to focus if you don’t want to wait for auto focus. The camera button is a 2 stage button so you can hold it down to focus and when you life your finger the camera will snap the photo.
  2. Get more into your shots with widescreen photos! You can change your resolution in the settings to 6.5 megapixels that will give you a widescreen shot. Don’t worry the downgrade in megapixels won’t affect much. 8 megapixels is good for shots you know your going to print out. If your not going to its better to leave it at 6.5 megapixels for everyday use to get the most you can in each shot.
  3. Use Best Shot! Using this feature that takes advantage of the zero shutter lag feature of the camera will let you take 8 pictures in a row by just holding the shutter button down. Then the software will try to determine the best photo and you can choose which ones you want to keep or get rid of. This is great action shots and for those who don’t have a steady hand when taking a picture.
  4. Hit that settings icon!  It has a ton of setting and features that you wouldn’t normally think to look at. It comes with many of the same features that you would find on a point and shoot digital camera.   5. Take Pictures & Video At The Same Time! The camera record 1080p and can also snap pictures as well at the same time. This is great to kill two birds with one stone as they say.
