Comcast Boosting Xfinity Internet Speeds From Maine To Virginia

Comast recently boosed Xfinity Internet speeds across all service plans for customers in 14 states on the east coast. Each tier will see a boost from 5Mbps to 50Mbps in increased download speeds.  Customers will get the speed increase if they have the following plans below:

  • Blast tier download speeds increasing from 200 Mbps to 250 Mbps
  • Performance Pro tier download speeds increasing from 100 Mbps to 150 Mbps
  • Performance tier download speeds increasing from 25 Mbps to 60 Mbps
  • Performance Starter tier download speeds increasing from 10 Mbps to 15 Mbps

New and existing customers qualify for the new speeds coming this month. They will just need to reboot their modems to get the speed boost.

“We’ve increased speeds 17 times in the last 17 years, and continue to invest to deliver a fast, innovative and reliable experience in and out of the home,” says Kevin Casey, President of Comcast’ Northeast Division. Increased speeds are becoming more important as we all become a more connected world. These devices that we use to connect are going to need to speeds to keep up.

Personally, I’ve been using Comast new xFi router that provides their Gigabit speeds and so far It’s been a good experience which I’ll have more to talk about in a future review down the road. Until then, if you’re on Comcast and the east coast, check your plan and see if you got some new download speeds coming to you.
