Google Pulls YouTube From Amazon Devices

If you’re Using an Amazon Fire Device  Your About To Lose YouTube Again

It looks like once again Google and Amazon can’t get along when it comes to YouTube. Google has once against pulled their streaming video service from Amazon devices. The decision to pull this time due to Amazon not listening Google products in their store like Nest, Chromecast and don’t allow Google Case users access to Prime Video. These are some of the issues mentioned in YouTube’s quote to The Verge.

We’ve been trying to reach an agreement with Amazon to give consumers access to each other’s products and services. But Amazon doesn’t carry Google products like Chromecast and Google Home, doesn’t make Prime Video available for Google Cast users, and last month stopped selling some of Nest’s latest products. Given this lack of reciprocity, we are no longer supporting YouTube on Echo Show and FireTV. We hope we can reach an agreement to resolve these issues soon.

This isn’t the first time Google has pulled YouTube from Amazon devices. They first pulled it back in September with no real warning of explanation as to way. It made its way back but only for it to yet again be removed today. The Echo Show has already lost access while FireTV users will have access until January 1, 2018, with warning announcements pushed by YouTube of this change starting now and all the way up until the date of removal.

I hope for the consumer’s sake that this squabble gets squashed fast to get things back to normal. This also may push Amazon to try to create their own YouTube live video service not to have to worry about an issue like this happening again. Let’s just hope they agree for user’s sake.
