LG G3 vs HTC One M8: Two heavyweights looking to content against the champ

The LG G3 vs the HTC One M8 wasn’t a battle I was expecting to see this year but both phones are packing the power to be contenders this year and take some market share from the leading android king in the Samsung Galaxy S series of smartphones.

The LG G3 comes out swinging with a 5.5 inch QHD display, 13 Megapixel camera with OIS, 4K ultra HD video recording and laser autofocus. Pushing those specs is a quad-core processor (Snapdragon 801) and either 2 GB of ram and 16 GB of storage or 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. Regardless of the version you get it will come with a removable 3,000 mAH battery and micro SD card support up to 128 GB of storage current but is future proof for up to 2 TB of storage. The LG G3 has a “floating arc” design with thin bezels, rear key design and brush metal back.

Speaking of metal that is something the HTC One M8 knows a lot about with his nearly all metal build with a 5 inch 1080p HD display, Ultra Pixel Duo camera, quad-core processor (Snapdragon 801) 2 GB of ram, 16 GB or 32 GB of storage with micro SD card support. There isn’t a removable battery but the battery is 2,600 mAH. The HTC One M8’s signature feature is Boom Sound which have some of the best dual front facing speakers in the market. We enjoyed them in our review of the One M8 and got to know the HTC One M8 a bit more in a 2 week long term trial.

We can’t wait to get the LG G3 and put it against the HTC One M8. For now we’ll just have to settle for our LG G3 vs HTC One M8 comparisons video to hold us over.
