Setup Back Tap in iOS 14 to get new quick actions with a simple tap

In the recently released iOS 14, a new feature adds more gesture-based quick actions called Back Tap.  This feature allows you to either double-tap or triple-tap your iPhone’s back to act like taking a screenshot or pulling down the notification shade.

To set this up, you need your iPhone updated to at least iOS 14. Once you have that set, you then need to go to;

  • Settings
  • Accessibility
  • Touch
  • Scroll down to Back Tap

Within this menu, you’ll have the option to set double tap and triple tap. There are a few options to choose from to set.

Choose the option, then back out to the main settings menu and try out the options you set with each gesture.
