PS5 External Hard Drive Problems Explained – Storage Crashing Issues

The PS5 has some issues with using external storage that you need to know about.

The PS5 External Hard Drive Problems are real and I’ll show you in this video how it happens. I expect Sony to fix this with a software update in the near future. This video will hopefully help folks understand the issue is using any external hard drive plugged in will make the system unstable as games and even the UI will crash, reboot, cause black screens of death as so on.

Unplugging any external drives do remedy the issue mostly. There is still a chance for a crash when doing manual saves with some games. Again I fully expect Sony to send out an update to fix this and hopefully it comes with the ability to upgrade internal storage at the same time because many long-time gamers are going to need it as the current storage is simply not enough.
